Apple Fall Event Set for September 10: iPhone 17 Series and Multiple New Products Coming Soon

Apple has officially announced the date for its fall product launch event, scheduled for 1:00 a.m. Beijing time on September 10. As usual, this event will officially introduce the new iPhone 17 series. Based on previous timelines, the iPhone 17 series is expected to go on pre-sale on Friday, September 12, and officially hit the market on Friday, September 19.

This year’s iPhone 17 series will bring a number of upgrades and improvements worth noting:

The iPhone 17 standard model will see its display size increased from the previous generation’s 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, offering users a broader visual experience. All models in the lineup will be equipped with 120Hz ProMotion adaptive refresh rate displays, delivering smoother operation.

The product line will also introduce a brand-new ultra-thin model called the iPhone 17 Air, which will replace the previous Plus version. The iPhone 17 Pro series will feature an updated design, adopting a new half-glass, half-aluminum alloy body structure. The camera module will also be redesigned, featuring a brand-new horizontal layout.

In terms of communication technology, the iPhone 17 Air will debut Apple’s self-developed 5G modem chip for the first time. All models in the lineup will support the Wi-Fi 7 wireless network protocol.

For imaging, all models will upgrade their front cameras to 24MP. The Pro series models will come equipped with three 48MP rear lenses, supporting up to 8x optical-quality zoom, and may also feature 8K video recording capabilities.

In terms of hardware configuration, the Pro series and Air model will be equipped with 12GB of RAM, while the standard model will continue with 8GB of RAM. For charging, all models will support up to 35W wired fast charging and 25W wireless charging with the Qi2 standard.

The Pro series models will also optimize their internal cooling systems to ensure more stable high-performance output over longer periods.

In addition, aside from the iPhone 17 series, Apple also plans to release new Apple Watch products this fall, including the Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and Apple Watch Ultra 3.
